At the 60th annual conference of the German Society for Social Medicine and Prevention (DGSMP) from September 17-19, 2025, at Charité University Medicine Berlin with the theme “Participation and Co-Creation”, we presented our design of the workshops conducted in the PROTECT. Ing project with a multiprofessional group of actors from the fields of medicine, social work, public authorities, and civil society. We described how we created a space for interdisciplinary, interactive and constructive exchange, with the aim of developing solutions for identifying and communicating the special protection needs of asylum seekers. This exploration of the nature, framing conditions, and existing processes can inform the development of tailor-made digital solutions.
